Welcome to the new academic session of 2013-2014 that has begun from 1st July 2013 with a renewed energy and fresh enthusiasm. I am extremely happy to state that our department is now staffed with six new assistant professors who joined in the month of February 2013 after their regular selection by the statutory committee. They are: Dr. U R Tater, Dr. Asha Rathi, Dr. Ashish Mathur, Mr. Manish Vadera, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Chouhan, and Dr. Ashok Kumar. Now the faculty strength of the department has risen to eleven, including three professors and one associate professor.
Our Department has always been student-friendly and that is amply reflected in the increasing enrollment strength of our M.Com. Students which was close to two-thousand mark in the past academic session of 2012-2013.
Importantly, all existing M.Com. Previous 2013 batch students have to particularly note that they will have to appear for a written examination for newly added compulsory paper named "Fundamentals of Management Research" (FMR) in their final year examination in 2014, in place of viva-voce.
The next issue of "The Indian Journal of Business Administration" published by the department would be in your hands at the earliest with better lay-out and improved contents.
The department is proud to announce that as many as twenty one synopses were approved by the departmental council for Ph.D. Registration of MPET 2011 Batch of the doctoral students.
Let us join hands to make the department a center of learning where acquirement of knowledge and skills is everybody's right with a spirit of cooperation and co-existence. Education is a liberating force. 'A mountain is not higher than your confidence because it will be under your feet, if you reach the top.'
